PREDICTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSION FROM ELECTRICITY GENERATION IN ASEAN

نویسندگان

چکیده

The Coal-Fired Power Plants with low-emissions plants in the power sector can avoid nearly 800 million tonnes CO2 by 2030. number of populations, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), electricity generation, NDC, and relevant energy policies influenced prediction Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emission from generation. Aim: objective is to analyze trends growth related generation activities countries ASEAN an emphasis on identifying factors that influence it evaluating effectiveness existing decarbonization AMS developing suitable strategies reduce future emissions. Methodology Result: Predicting emissions conducted using three approaches considering newest NDC policies, descriptive quantitative analysis based secondary data (1) general information Member States (AMS), (2) plants, (3) fuel use (4) AMS. Results indicated availability potential sources (coal/oil/gas/RE) influences dominant used Prediction CO2e 2020 2040 period identified Vietnam as one highest emitters (380,1 Mt CO2e) Conclusion, significance impact study: needs make a more aggressive policy level significantly, achieving 2050 net zero transition targets. Ultimately, shifting coal-fired other lower factor proves be most significant towards reduction.

Carbon Dioxide Emission Standards

On June 25, 2013, President Obama announced his plan to introduce carbon dioxide emission standards for electricity generation. This paper proposes an efficiency analysis approach that addresses which emission rates (and standards) would be feasible if the existing generating units adopt best practices. A new efficiency measure is introduced and further decomposed to identify different sources’...

Carbon Footprint of Electricity Generation

 All electricity generation technologies emit greenhouse gases at some point in their life cycle and hence have a carbon footprint.  Fossil-fuelled generation has a high carbon footprint, with most emissions produced during plant operation. “Carbon capture and storage” could reduce these significantly, though this is unproven at full scale.  Nuclear and renewable generation generally have a ...

Preparation of PMMA/MWNTs Nanocomposite Microcellular Foams by In-situ Generation of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

Nanocomposites containing poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and surface functionalized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWNTs) were synthesized. The dispersion of MWNTs in PMMA was characterized using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).The synthesized nanocomposites were successfully foamed using a simple method based on the in-situ generation of supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2</sub...

Multi-objective optimization of time-cost-quality-carbon dioxide emission-plan robustness in construction projects

Today, the construction industry is facing intense competition and success in this competition depends on several factors. Project managers try to minimize project time and cost, carbon dioxide emission and at the same time maximizing the quality of project and its plan robustness. In this paper, study construction project scheduling considering a discrete trade-off between time, cost, quality,...
